As the top-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers prepare for another dominant volleyball season, one of their brightest stars is already scoring big off the court.
Junior outside hitter Harper Murray, a two-time All-Big Ten First Team selection, has signed a high-profile Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with global sportswear giant Adidas—Nebraska’s official footwear and apparel sponsor. The announcement comes just a day before the Huskers opened their season at the AVCA First Serve Tournament in Lincoln.
A Power Move with the Three Stripes
Murray joins an elite group of Adidas NIL ambassadors that includes fellow Huskers standout and star quarterback Dylan Raiola, Olympian Kelsey Robinson, and former Nebraska teammate Lexi Rodriguez.
In partnership with Adidas, Murray will be featured in a variety of brand campaigns and marketing initiatives, including the launch of the new Nebraska Adizero Evo SLs sneaker. Her deal also includes fan-facing events designed to deepen her connection with the Husker community.
“I’m excited to partner with Adidas in a bigger way as we work together to elevate the sport we both love,” said Murray. “The way they’ve invested in women’s volleyball—and women’s sports more broadly—makes me proud to join the Three-Stripe family. I’m more motivated than ever to bring a national championship to Lincoln.”
Murray is represented by Wasserman, and her stock continues to rise—recently earning the top spot on Out2Win’s “Fall 50” list of the most marketable female athletes.
A Champion On and Off the Court
To celebrate the partnership, Adidas coordinated a weekend of promotional events in Lincoln, including immersive light projections across campus and a collaboration with a popular local coffee shop to thank Husker fans for their support.
The buzz around Murray translated seamlessly into performance. In Nebraska’s season opener against Tennessee State, the Cornhuskers swept in three straight sets, with Murray contributing seven kills and six digs. The team racked up more than 40 total kills in the dominant win.
Murray, a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, had a stellar sophomore campaign in 2024. She earned AVCA All-American Second Team honors, led the team with a 3.40 kills-per-set average, and recorded 39 service aces. She also made waves on the beach volleyball scene, finishing with an 18-9 record alongside standout teammates like Laney Choboy and Merritt Beason.
Adidas’ Volleyball Momentum Builds
Murray’s signing further cements Adidas’ investment in the volleyball world. As the exclusive apparel partner for League One Volleyball, the brand is making a clear push into the growing market of women’s sports—and athletes like Harper Murray are at the center of that movement.
