The fifth round of the Serie A1 Tigotà Regular Season featured four matches on Sunday, highlighted by commanding wins from Scandicci, Milano, and Busto Arsizio, while Monviso edged Firenze in a dramatic five-set battle.
Savino Del Bene Scandicci drew level with Conegliano at the top of the standings after sweeping Omag-Mt San Giovanni in Marignano (16-25, 17-25, 15-25). MVP Marta Bechis orchestrated the offense brilliantly, while Lindsey Ruddins and Caterina Bosetti contributed 14 points apiece. For the hosts, Martina Bracchi led with 11 points.
In Busto Arsizio, Eurotek Laica UYBA impressed with a straight-sets victory over Megabox Ond. Savio Vallefoglia (25-21, 25-23, 25-12). MVP Katja Eckl was nearly flawless, scoring 13 points with an 80% attack rate, while Josephine Obossa topped the charts with 19 points. Bici recorded 12 for Vallefoglia.
At the Opiquad Arena, Numia Vero Volley Milano continued their strong form with a 3-0 win against Cbf Balducci Hr Macerata (25-21, 29-27, 25-16). Paola Egonu powered the offense with 19 points, while MVP Sahar Kurtagic and Lanier each added 10.
The day’s most competitive clash came in Florence, where Wash4Green Monviso outlasted Il Bisonte Firenze in a thrilling five-setter (22-25, 26-24, 25-22, 18-25, 12-15). MVP Hannah Dodson stood out with 14 points and three blocks, supported by Davyskiba and Malual with 18 each. For Firenze, Villani tallied 17 points and Bukilic 13.
The Serie A1 Tigotà continues midweek, with the next fixtures scheduled for October 29–30.
