After a disappointing opening loss to Czechia, Serbia bounced back in style at the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship, sweeping China 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 29-27) to keep their Round of 16 hopes alive.
Opposite hitter Dražen Luburić led the charge with 17 points, while Pavle Perić and Aleksandar Nedeljković each added 11. Despite a 16-point performance from Bin Wang, China suffered their second consecutive defeat and now face elimination.
The victory boosts Serbia’s chances of advancing, with a straight-sets win over powerhouse Brazil on Thursday potentially enough to seal qualification—depending on other Pool H results.
“Now we have one last chance against Brazil,” said Luburić. “Let’s hope for the best.”
