The Türkiye Women’s National Volleyball Team kicked off their 2025 FIVB Women’s World Volleyball Championship campaign with a strong 3-0 victory against Spain in Pool E. The match, held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, saw Türkiye dominate from start to finish, closing the sets 25-18, 25-20, and 25-23 in just 80 minutes.
Yaprak Erkek led the charge with 15 points, supported by Melissa Vargas and Ebrar Karakurt who contributed 14 and 12 points respectively. Sinead Jack-Kısal added 9 points and Zehra Güneş chipped in with 6, showcasing the team’s well-rounded attack.
The win provides an excellent confidence boost as Türkiye looks ahead to the rest of the group stage.
