In a gripping all-South American semifinal, Venezuela surged ahead by winning the first two sets, only for Colombia to mount a spirited comeback and force a fifth-set decider.
With the match hanging in the balance, Venezuelan captain Willner Rivas led by example, supported by standout performances from Ronald Fayola and Moisés Vásquez. The trio helped clinch the tie-break 15–12, sealing the dramatic win and sending Venezuela into the final.
